A Little About Me
I was born and raised in Arizona. I also lived in Key Largo Florida for a brief time. I dropped out of High School when I was thirteen but got my GED when I was eighteen. I have two beautiful teenage daughters and I have been married to an absolutely wonderful man for seventeen years. I started doing my own nails when I was sixteen and it was at that time I found my passion. When I was twenty I attended Cosmetology school and it was there that I developed my allergy to Gel and Acrylic. I had to leave school and heal my fingers. Two years later I thought I would be okay, so I attended nail school. I was there for two weeks before my allergy emerged and I had to again drop out. I thought my dream of becoming a nail tech was over. For the next thirteen years I was lost and had no idea what I wanted to do. I stayed home with my kids. I went to school for Aesthetics and graduated as a licensed Aesthetician. I wrote a vampire trilogy called "The Prophecy" and even self published the first of the trilogy on Amazon. I volunteered at a domestic violence shelter and worked with battered women and children. I even went to college. I majored in Victimology with emphasis on domestic violence and victims advocate. I graduated with honors and with a 4.0 GPA. I was very proud, but it was still not want I wanted to do. In 2016 I decided to try an acrylic set one more time. My fantastic husband bought me a pair of gloves from AutoZone and suggested I use them during the application process. I finished the set and my fingers were fine! I was finally able to do nails without breaking out! I signed up immediately at a nail school and graduated three months later as a fully licensed Nail Technician! It is so rewarding to finally be able to do what I've been wanting to do for twenty years. I love working with people and helping them achieve that small moment in the day where they can indulge on themselves, where they can think about only them and be selfish if even for that moment. We don't get to have that moment very much anymore, not in todays hustle and bustle and I love that it's me that can give it to you!
